Job Responsibilities:
- Handle the Accounts Payable function
- Perform Month-End Journal postings
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including BAS, GST, FBT, and payroll tax
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
- Process employee payroll in line with Australian Fair Work and ATO requirements
- Handle superannuation contributions and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
- Maintain the general ledger, journals, and subsidiary accounts
- Prepare and process electronic fund transfers (EFT), BPAY, cheques, and credit card payments
- Perform regular supplier and ledger reconciliation
- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other ERP systems
- A minimum of 1–2 years of Australian accounting experience
- Exposure to UK accounting is considered an added advantage
- Strong communication skills for regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders
