AnyJobOK is owned and operated by Ceylon Carvings (Pvt) Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner in line with applicable laws (including Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, where relevant, GDPR and other regulations).

Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, role (candidate/employer).
- Profile & job application data: CV/resumé, cover letters, experience, education, portfolio links, preferred location, salary info (when provided).
- Employer data: company name, contact details, job posts, billing/contact info (if applicable).
- Usage & technical data: log files, IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, referral URLs, approximate location derived from IP.
- Content you upload: PDFs/images/job ads. We may extract text to improve search and display (see “Vendors & processors”).
- Communications: messages you send to us or between candidates and employers via the platform (where applicable).

Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Provide the service (create accounts, post and apply to jobs, save bookmarks, search): Contract.
- Improve and secure AnyJobOK (debugging, analytics, preventing abuse): Legitimate interests.
- Communications (service emails, account alerts, status updates): Contract/Legitimate interests.
- Marketing (optional) (newsletters, tips): Consent (you can opt out anytime).
- Legal compliance (tax, invoices, fraud prevention): Legal obligation.
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember preferences. With consent (where required), we may use analytics cookies to understand site usage (e.g., page views, funnels). You can control cookies in your browser and, where implemented, via our cookie banner.
Vendors & processors (who we share data with)
We use reputable service providers to operate AnyJobOK. They process data on our behalf under contracts that require confidentiality and appropriate safeguards. Typical categories include:
- Hosting & infrastructure (cloud servers, storage, backups).
- Email & notifications (transactional email, deliverability).
- Analytics & monitoring (aggregated usage stats, performance).
- AI services for optional features like job-ad generation or translation (e.g., OpenAI). We only send the minimum necessary text (e.g., job description) and do not include passwords or payment data. Content may be processed outside Sri Lanka (see “International transfers”).
- Payment processors (if you purchase paid features). We never store full card numbers on our servers.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:
- Account data: for the life of your account; deleted within 30–90 days after closure (subject to legal holds).
- Job posts & applications: typically 12–24 months for audit/security/history, or as required by law or legitimate interests.
- Logs: typically 90–180 days for security and troubleshooting.
- Where we rely on consent (e.g., marketing), we keep the data until you withdraw consent or it’s no longer needed.
International transfers
Some providers are located outside Sri Lanka. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses, reputable vendors with strong security practices). By using AnyJobOK, you understand your data may be processed in these locations.
Security
AnyJobOK uses industry-standard protections such as encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and regular updates. No online service can guarantee 100% security, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law (e.g., Sri Lanka PDPA, GDPR), you may have rights to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase data in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

Children
AnyJobOK is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Job posts may include links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. We’ll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (e.g., email or banner).
