Central Bearings & Machinery (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement | Purchasing & Stock Control Assistant to join our dynamic team in Colombo. This role is essential for ensuring efficient procurement processes and effective stock management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials and supplies.
- Manage inventory levels and stock control processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor order status.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts and pricing.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or stock control.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of inventory management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
