Job Description
Musaeus College invites applications from dynamic and experienced culinary professionals for the position of Sous Chef | Pastry & Bakery to lead our school kitchen operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the food experience of our students and staff through nutritious, high-quality meals served with care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the F&B Executive in planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality pastry and bakery items.
- Lead and supervise the pastry section, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and timely production.
- Innovate and refine recipes to suit diverse dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain inventory, manage ingredient sourcing, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Uphold food safety standards and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.
Qualifications Required
- Diploma or degree in Pastry/Bakery/Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management with 5 years' experience, or
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior Pastry & Bakery role, preferably in institutional or large-scale catering.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and kitchen hygiene protocols.
- Ability to innovate within budget constraints and maintain consistency in quality.
