Trainee Supply Chain Executive
Job Description
Join Trade Promoters (Pvt) Limited, the authorized distributor for Cummins Inc. in Sri Lanka & the Maldives, as a Trainee Supply Chain Executive. We are looking for a motivated individual to assist in procuring products and services while maximizing business efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic reviews of cost factors and provide estimations for internal departments.
- Monitor and manage the order management process effectively.
- Update and maintain the supplier database, enrolling effective suppliers.
- Coordinate with the stores department to ensure timely material arrivals.
- Call for quotations, prepare Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), and raise Purchase Orders (POs).
- Negotiate with vendors to build long-term partnerships for competitive sourcing.
- Follow up on supplier payments with the accounts department.
- Prepare monthly and weekly reports for management review.
- Assign and update Reorder Levels (ROL) with periodic inventory reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Inventory Management.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in MEP, Construction, or Elevator sectors is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of SAP systems is a definite advantage.
