About Us
Norwood Fashions is an apparel manufacturing company with a state-of-the-art facility in Norwood (Hatton). Our corporate office is located in Wattala, and we manufacture garments for prestigious brands in the UK and Europe. We are currently seeking a young, energetic, and qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, and inventory control
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, and relevant statutory authorities
- Prepare the budget, financial forecasts, and periodic management reporting
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements for the board of directors
- Manage and comply with periodic tax filings
- Maintain timely and updated financial information and records
Requirements
- Part qualification in CA, CMA, ACCA, member of AAT SL, or a bachelor’s degree in business management
- Over 2 years of working experience in a similar capacity
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Computer literacy, especially in MS Office
- Good knowledge of accounting software, especially QuickBooks Enterprise version
- Good coordinating skills
- Ability to work on time-bound projects
