Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of daily production operations and monitor machine activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, SOP, and safety protocols, reporting deviations promptly.
- Support shift and manpower planning, coordinating effective workforce and machinery utilization.
- Identify machine or operational abnormalities and assist in resolving minor troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain accurate production documentation including logs, reports, and related records.
- Participate in line clearance, cleaning, and changeover activities in compliance with SOPs.
- Assist in onboarding and training new operators on SOPs, safety standards, and production methods.
- Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with QA/QC, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless production flow.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing operations.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for production machinery.
- Experience in shift planning, manpower coordination, and production documentation.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience with the SAP system will be an advantage.
- Proximity to Homagama will be considered an added advantage.
