Job Summary
The Campus Community Officer is a vital role within our ECUSL team, focusing on creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for students. You will lead in managing student behavior and support their personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day behavioral concerns and ensure quick, effective interventions.
- Provide guidance and support to students to help them develop positive behavior and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with Student Academic Services, academies, and staff to support students' progress.
- Ensure behavioral matters are addressed according to ECUSL policies.
- Encourage students to uphold the university's standards and expectations.
- Keep records and analyze behavioral data to identify trends.
- Assist in preparing disciplinary case files when required.
- Support students needing additional help with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges.
- Be a visible and approachable presence on campus, modeling positive behavior.
- Respond to staff requests for behavior support, including supervising or removing students if necessary.
- Contribute to training sessions (CPD) to help staff manage challenging behaviors confidently.
- Help review and improve existing behavior and pastoral systems for long-term success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working in educational institutions or community services is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with fairness and respect.
- Team player with flexibility and a proactive approach.
- Commitment to student safety, well-being, and safeguarding principles.
- Be a positive role model for students at all times.
Working Hours
Flexible, including Saturdays and Sundays.
