The Bartizan is a luxury 10-room boutique hotel located in the heart of Heritage Galle Fort. We are seeking a talented and versatile Chef de Partie to showcase culinary skills in a premium, intimate setting for guests from around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Breakfast: Lead the morning service and prepare high-quality menu items, with opportunities to suggest improvements and new ideas for our lunch menu.
- Staff Meals: Responsible for the daily preparation of meals for the hotel team.
- Kitchen Management: Handle all mise en place, maintain SLSI sanitation standards, and ensure creative, attractive food plating.
- Inventory & Ordering: Manage daily kitchen requirements, including stock control and placing orders for goods under the close supervision of Hotel Management.
- Boutique Team Spirit: As a small 10-room operation, all staff are expected to be "team players" and participate in other aspects of hotel operations to ensure a perfect guest experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen with strong culinary foundations.
- Good understanding of food cost control and ordering processes.
- A flexible, "can-do" attitude and the ability to follow management instructions perfectly.
- Passion for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
