Position Overview
The Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau (MCB) is seeking a Senior Engineer to oversee and coordinate plot consolidation activities under the GCF - Knuckles Project. This role involves managing technical documentation and ensuring effective execution of project activities in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and subject matter experts for timely and quality delivery of project activities.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior engineers and project staff.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation, including reports, designs, and plans.
- Ensure compliance of all plot consolidation activities with relevant standards and environmental requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective measures.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication for project coordination.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Perform additional project-related tasks as assigned by MCB Management.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Irrigation, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering projects, including project planning, design, and supervision.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in similar large-scale projects in Sri Lanka or the South Asia region is an advantage.
Work Location
Based in Colombo with periodic travel to project sites.
Age Limit
Applicants must be below 45 years of age as of 01st August 2025.
Remuneration
An attractive and competitive consultancy fee will be provided, aligned with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
