Role Overview
The Deputy Manager - Risk and Compliance will ensure that Senior Management, including Boards and Committees, are confident that regulatory requirements are met. This role involves conducting risk-based assurance reviews and supporting business units in compliance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify potential risks through detailed analysis of market trends, financial data, and business operations.
- Update the corporate risk register and draft/review client and corporate policies for compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing assessment findings and present them to management.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and risk-based assurance reviews.
- Support and lead regular reviews of business units to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Guide and review onboarding processes for new clients/directors/investors.
- Maintain logs, records, and files related to compliance activities.
- Produce high-quality business documents and ensure timely distribution of information.
- Coordinate with responsible parties to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Compile and analyze data to create comprehensive reports for the Board.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in internal audit, risk management, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
- A professional designation in internal audit or risk management is desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in internal audit or risk management.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Familiarity with international AML and CFT regulations is beneficial.
