About the Role
The National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) invites a visionary leader to helm its School of Computing and Engineering. We seek a director with strong business acumen and a proven track record in strategic growth, research, and curriculum leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the progress of the School of Computing and Engineering at Head Office and the other 05 Regional Campuses.
- Create new training programs to suit prevailing market requirements.
- Manage general administration and marketing functions for the School.
- Enhance performance and productivity of academic and non-academic teams through effective collaboration and empowerment.
- Conduct training needs analysis, market surveys, and develop curricula.
- Ensure timely and quality implementation of projects and proposals, incorporating monitoring and assessment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or B.Sc. Special Degree in Information Technology/Electronics/MIS/DBMS from a U.G.C.-recognized university.
- Postgraduate Degree (Master) in IT/Computer Science/Engineering with a research component.
- At least 18 years of managerial experience, including 3 years in a senior managerial role in one of the following:
- Teaching at university level in a Senior Lecturer capacity
- Professional experience
- Research in a recognized institution
- PhD in Computer Science is an added qualification.
- Age: Not less than 30 years and not more than 50 years.
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka and physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post.
