Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day accounting operations including recording, verification, and reconciliation of financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules.
- Assist in monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable related activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments on finance-related matters.
- Assist in budget monitoring, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
- Support audit requirements and statutory documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems.
- Perform ad-hoc finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institute.
- 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounts roles will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to ERP systems (Accounts Payable / Finance modules) will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Exposure to tax-related matters including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other statutory requirements will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel will be an added advantage.
