Job Overview
The Packaging Trim Coordinator supports Komar's global packaging and trim operations by managing packaging component development, sourcing, tracking, and documentation across all Komar brands. This role serves as a key regional point of contact for local and overseas vendors, ensuring accurate data management, timely follow-ups, and adherence to development, testing, sustainability, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Act as the regional point person in Sri Lanka for packaging development coordination.
- Organize and maintain packaging and trim files, standards, and development records.
- Enter new items into PLM and maintain packaging items.
- Handle packaging sample and swatch requests.
- Follow up with Creative or Design for art & material updates.
- Track packaging development samples.
- Follow up on and track sustainability certificates (FSC, recycled content, material declarations, etc.) and ensure proper documentation is received and filed.
- Manage and maintain packaging trim tracking charts, including daily PLM updates and weekly file storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Textiles, Supply Chain, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in packaging trim development, production, or sourcing for apparel.
- Strong knowledge of packaging components, including paper tags, stickers, woven labels, RFID, polybags, boxes, belly bands, and related materials.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards and certification processes related to packaging materials.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with global teams.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
