Job Responsibilities
- Carry out daily calibration of equipment as per given procedures.
- Testing of incoming materials, intermediate, and finished products as per relevant test procedures.
- Recording and updating laboratory quality records.
- Collection of samples of incoming and finished products for testing.
- Ensure all samples are tested and results are reported to the relevant department within the stipulated time frame.
- Assist the chemist in all matters related to technical expertise requirements such as lab blending, tests/calibrations, measurements, rectification work, handling sample storage, and observations.
- Maintain all documentation in the laboratory.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.
- Maintain re-order levels of accessories/consumables used in the laboratory for testing.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisors.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology (I Chem or Open University) or
- G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification in Physical Science or Bio Science stream with two years of work experience in the relevant field or
- BSc. General Degree holder with chemistry would be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office packages.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
