Logistic & Transport Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end import & export operations, ensuring compliance with Sri Lanka Customs and other regulatory bodies (TRCSL, IECD, NMRA, SLSI, etc.).
- Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and local clearing agents to ensure timely shipments and smooth clearance processes.
- Prepare, review, and monitor shipping documents (BUAWB, invoices, packing lists, CUSDEC, HS codes, etc.).
- Negotiate freight rates, monitor logistics costs, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Track shipment timelines, maintain shipment schedules, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous process improvements and operational efficiency within the Imports & Logistics function.
- Direct and manage the efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring all processes run smoothly and on schedule.
- Manage and coordinate the fleet of vehicles and construction equipment to meet project requirements.
- Ensure timely maintenance, servicing, and repairs of vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and control fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and transport budgets.
- Supervise and allocate duties to drivers and operators, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Transport Management, or a related field from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office packages, ERP, or SAP systems.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka Customs regulations, BOL procedures, and import/export compliance requirements (TRCSL, IECD, NMRA, SLSI, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle fleet management, logistics planning, and transport regulations.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience.
