At Ferentino Tyre Corporation, we are dedicated to advancing Sri Lanka socially, economically, and industrially. We are seeking a motivated Logistic & Transport Executive to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end import & export operations, ensuring compliance with Sri Lanka Customs and other regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and local clearing agents to ensure timely shipments.
- Prepare, review, and monitor shipping documents (BUAWB, invoices, packing lists, CUSDEC, HS codes, etc.).
- Negotiate freight rates, monitor logistics costs, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Track shipment timelines and maintain schedules, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous process improvements and operational efficiency within the Imports & Logistics function.
- Direct and manage the efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Manage and coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor and control fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and transport budgets.
- Supervise and allocate duties to drivers and operators, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Transport Management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office packages, ERP/SAP systems.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka Customs regulations, BOI procedures, and import/export compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle fleet management, logistics planning, and transport regulations.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
