The Role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to take ownership of financial planning, cost management, and performance reporting within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in product costing, budgeting, and variance analysis, coupled with a strategic mindset to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product costing models, monitor inventory, and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with production, procurement, and operations to optimize efficiency.
  • Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, management accounts, flash reports, and KPI dashboards; analyze performance against budget and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product line, business unit, or customer; provide financial modeling for pricing, new product development, and export competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax obligations, and internal controls; strengthen internal audit readiness and support ERP implementation.
  • Evaluate CAPEX proposals, ROI, and payback analysis for machinery or expansion projects.
  • Guide and support junior finance staff, build strong cross-functional relationships, and actively participate in finance-related problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Part/Full qualification in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA (or equivalent).
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing finance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
