Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory tests including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation, data entry, and timely reporting of test results.
- Maintain quality control procedures and participate in internal/external quality assessments.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and laboratory hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, doctors, and the laboratory team.
- Assist in inventory management of reagents and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- Good knowledge of laboratory practices, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends if required.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
- Preference will be given to male applicants from the Kandy area.
