Operations Manager - Food Factory (Horana)
Enrich Tea & Food Exports (Pvt) Ltd, a leading global exporter to over 27 countries in the tea and food industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and drive the efficiency of our Horana food factory. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth operations, optimal resource utilization, and continuous improvement in line with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end factory operations, including production planning, scheduling, and workforce management.
- Drive operational excellence by minimizing downtime, reducing wastage, and improving process efficiency.
- Ensure effective utilization of machinery, people, and raw materials to achieve production targets.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels in compliance with company inventory policies.
- Lead innovation initiatives, process improvements, and cost-saving measures.
- Enforce strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Motivate and guide production teams to achieve high performance and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to meet customer requirements and organizational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 12-15 years of proven experience in factory/manufacturing operations (preferably in FMCG or Food & Beverage industry).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
- Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and production management tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
