Project Coordinator
The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPA Sri Lanka) is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to implement a donor-funded project addressing Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) in Sri Lanka. This project is supported by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project implementation in line with the approved workplan and budget.
- Track progress against milestones, outputs, and timelines.
- Organise project meetings, trainings, consultations, and stakeholder engagements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Support timely reporting and updates on project activities.
- Report to the Project Lead.
Person Specifications and Qualifications
- A recognised degree in public health, social sciences, development studies, or a related discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in project coordination or programme management, preferably within SRHR, GBV, gender equality, or human rights-based programmes.
- Proven experience managing donor-funded projects and preparing reports for international donors.
- Demonstrated capacity to support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), including data collection, validation, and reporting against donor indicators.
- Strong organisational, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working with government institutions and multi-stakeholder partnerships is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with IPPF, DFAT, or other bilateral or multilateral donor policies and procedures is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, ethics, risk management, PSEAH, child protection, and GESI principles, particularly in sensitive FGM/C programming contexts.
