Lalan Rubbers (Pvt) Ltd is a leading manufacturer in the rubber industry, committed to maintaining the highest safety standards for our employees and operations. We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Biyagama.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and orientation for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain safety records and documentation as required by law and company policy.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are a plus.
