Job Opportunity: Sales Coordinator at Central Bearings & Machinery (Pvt) Ltd
Central Bearings & Machinery (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to strengthen the link between our international suppliers and Sri Lankan customers. You will manage the full order-to-delivery cycle—coordinating shipments, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring every stakeholder receives prompt, accurate information. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate purchase orders and shipping schedules with overseas suppliers and local customers, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Prepare quotations, pro-forma invoices, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other export/import documentation.
- Monitor shipment progress, liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents, and keep all parties updated until goods are delivered.
- Maintain accurate order histories in Excel/ERP systems for easy retrieval, reference, and analysis.
- Respond to customer and supplier queries by email and phone, resolving issues quickly to maintain service excellence.
- Compile periodic sales and logistics reports to help management make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to track and reference large volumes of past orders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (experience with ERP or order-management software is a plus).
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
- A "trainable" mindset — adaptable, proactive, and eager to improve workflows.
- Willingness to occasionally work extended hours (up to 7 p.m.) when shipments or deadlines require it.
Added Advantage
- Prior exposure to international trade, Incoterms® 2020, or freight/logistics coordination.
- Residence in Seeduwa, Ja-Ela, Negombo, Minuwangoda, or Raddolugama for easier commute during late-finish days.
