Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS and orchestrate legacy-to-cloud migration workflows.
- Build end-to-end data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
- Develop and deploy multidimensional and tabular models in SSAS for enterprise BI reporting.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to ensure data availability for AI/ML initiatives.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering using Azure DevOps.
- Monitor, optimize, and ensure the reliability of data processes across both Azure and SQL Server platforms.
- Lead and mentor a remote engineering team operating during AEST hours.
Qualifications & Skills/Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering roles, including team leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Data Lake
- SSIS (ETL workflows and integration packages)
- SSAS (tabular or multidimensional model design and deployment)
- Knowledge of Azure Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with Azure Purview, Azure Monitor, Data Governance frameworks.
- Deep SQL skills and proficiency in scripting (T-SQL, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience managing both cloud and hybrid data infrastructure.
- Comfortable working with remote teams and available during Australian working hours.
