Structural Engineer - Experienced (Full Time)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and work on a range of Australian projects. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure working with an Australian company and build experience with some of the best in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design in compliance with Australian Standards and Codes (essential).
- Manage and guide the drafting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, builders, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and drawings.
- Ensure project deadlines, quality objectives, and client expectations are met.
Qualifications & Skills
- B.Sc. in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters in Structural Engineering is an added advantage).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural design (mandatory).
- Previous experience with Australian projects will be highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in Australian design packages such as SpaceGass, Strand7, RAPT, and Inducta (highly regarded).
- Experience with SAP2000, ETABS, and Tekla Structural Designer will also be considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of structural design and building codes.
- Attention to detail, ability to lead drafting teams, and excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong communication skills in English – essential for working with Australian clients.
Training & Support
We understand not everyone will have extensive experience with Australian Standards from the start. If you have the right technical foundation, willingness to learn, and drive to grow, we will provide training, mentoring, and guidance to help you succeed in this role.
