About the Role
The Technical Support Service Engineer provides expert technical support and services to customers, ensuring successful application of cement and concrete products. This role covers customer complaint resolution, technical trials, and training, acting as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Technical Services & Complaint Handling: Provide on-site support, investigate and resolve complaints, ensuring closure with corrective actions.
- Concrete Mix Design & Trials: Conduct trial mixes at customer sites or labs, validate mix designs, and support government/consultant approvals.
- Technical Training & Knowledge Sharing: Deliver training programs and support marketing and sales with presentations and seminars.
- Laboratory & Data Management: Manage concrete testing lab, maintain accurate data, and provide insights for product development.
- Key Project Support: Provide technical support for strategic projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and supporting pre-bid technical documentation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development, Process, and Quality teams for business alignment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely resolution of customer complaints.
- Successful trial mix approvals and certifications.
- Accuracy of lab results and technical reporting.
- Number of technical trainings/seminars delivered.
- Support for key projects and strategic accounts.
- Contribution to customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 3-7 years’ experience in cement, concrete, RMC, or construction chemicals.
- Strong knowledge of mix design, durability testing, and industry standards (ASTM, EN, IS).
- Hands-on experience in lab management and field trials.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and travel extensively.
