Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage cost of production (COP) and contribute to OPEX budgeting.
- Drive operational excellence in broiler health, disease prevention, feeding, waste management, and biosecurity.
- Lead broiler health, nutrition, and husbandry operations.
- Achieve strict performance targets (mortality, FCR, PI, body weight).
- Ensure compliance with CEA, MOH, DAPH, and local authority regulations regarding antimicrobial residues.
- Support buy-back farmer profitability and address quality-related complaints.
- Coordinate with internal leadership and external regulators/auditors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science from a recognized foreign or Sri Lankan university.
- Formal Sri Lanka Veterinary Council Registration as a Veterinary Surgeon.
- Foreign technical exposure in commercial broiler farming is an advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in local or foreign commercial broiler farming under environmentally controlled housing.
- Self-motivated with team leadership capability.
- Budget and resource management skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint with reporting capabilities.
- Good command of the English language.
