Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and practical sessions aligned with the course curriculum.
- Create and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
- Facilitate student learning through effective teaching methodologies, including interactive discussions and group work.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, advising on course selection and career paths.
- Assess student performance through various methods, such as exams and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum development and improvement.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in English is required.
- Must have English as a subject and as the primary focus of the first degree.
- At least 3 years of proven teaching experience at the tertiary level.
- Experience with Cambridge examinations or certificate courses from Cambridge preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students.
- High level of proficiency and professional behavior.
- Knowledge of conducting both online and in-person lectures.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems is preferred.
- Instructors living in and around Gampaha are preferred.
