Varun Beverages is the second largest PepsiCo franchisee in the world (outside the US) of carbonated soft drinks and noncarbonated beverages sold under trademarks owned by PepsiCo like Pepsi, 7up, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Sting, Ole Brands & Aquafina. Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Conduct and review risk assessments regularly to mitigate risk factors and ensure the ESH of all employees.
- Plan and ensure periodic ESH audits are conducted as per the audit plan.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and other requirements related to safety & health.
- Update ESH information to management on a timely basis, maintaining and improving the ESH system.
- Ensure continual improvements, eliminate hazards/environmental impacts, and maintain zero major and fatal accidents.
- Prepare/review the EMS policy and Safety Policies, implementing them effectively.
- Investigate daily incidents related to health and safety issues in the plant and report to take precautionary actions.
Requirements
- NDT with (Chemical / Mechanical / Polymer) or National Diploma in Health and Safety (Sri Lanka) or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of ISO 14000 standard, OSHAS, and ISO 9000.
- Certified Auditor in EMS / OSHAS is an added advantage.
- Ability to carry out risk assessments and aspect identification.
- Possess analytical skills and problem-solving abilities related to ESH.
- Thorough understanding of the Standards and OSHAS.
