Responsibilities
- Assist the Purchasing Manager in sourcing and procuring high-quality food and beverage products.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
- Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand product needs and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
