Position Overview
The Senior Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating hydrology-related interventions, managing technical documentation, and ensuring effective project execution in collaboration with the Knuckles Project team and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and subject matter experts for timely and quality project delivery.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to junior engineers.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation, including reports, designs, and plans.
- Ensure compliance of hydrology interventions with relevant standards and environmental requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective measures.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by MCB Management.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering projects, including project planning, design, and supervision.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in large-scale projects in Sri Lanka or South Asia is an advantage.
Work Location
Based in Colombo with periodic travel to project sites.
Age Limit
