We are a leading Port Agency Services provider with a clientele spanning over 100 countries worldwide. We are looking for a well-organized and cost-conscious Executive in Procurement to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations Support: Receive and process purchase requisitions, prepare and issue purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
- Market & Price Monitoring: Collect market intelligence on prices, goods availability, and new suppliers for weekly forecasting.
- Supplier Chain Management: Liaise with approved suppliers to obtain quotations and maintain strong relationships.
- Cost & Inventory Control Support: Assist in monitoring procurement budgets and preparing cost analysis sheets.
- Ship Chandelling Coordination: Coordinate with vessel agents and operations staff to confirm supply requirements.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Resolve issues and report potential supply disruptions to the Manager.
- Administrative Support: Update procurement databases and supplier contact lists regularly.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with SAP ERP system (compulsory).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a similar capacity.
- Diploma or equivalent academic/professional qualification.
- Strong competency in bid evaluation and supplier classification.
- Good command of English with excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Task-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines.
