About Us
Lucky's Surf Camp and After Surf Café are seeking an experienced, hands-on Manager to lead our team across both businesses. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee daily operations, ensure guests have the best experience, and keep both the café and surf camp running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Property:
- Oversee day-to-day running of surf camp (rooms, facilities, common areas).
- Coordinate property maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep.
- Manage reservations, front desk check-ins/outs, and guest communication.
- F&B & Café Management:
- Oversee café operations, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage menu execution together with the kitchen team.
- Maintain stock control, supplier relations, and ordering systems.
- Ensure hygiene, food safety, and consistent service standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff across camp & café.
- Create staff schedules and manage payroll inputs.
- Build positive team culture and ensure smooth daily collaboration.
- Guest Experience:
- Be the friendly face of both camp & café, ensuring guests feel welcome.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Work with surf coaches and yoga instructor to align guest schedules.
- Administration & Finance:
- Track daily sales, expenses, and prepare management reports.
- Support budget planning and cost control.
- Handle supplier payments and petty cash management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality management, specifically F&B and property.
- Strong leadership and people skills - able to motivate, train, and manage a team.
- Knowledge of café/restaurant operations (ordering, cost control, service standards).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
- Comfortable with basic tech: POS, Excel/Google Sheets, booking systems.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude - willing to jump in where needed.
