About the Assignment
BizConnect International is developing an innovative ready-to-drink (RTD) functional dairy-based beverage for the local and export market. We are seeking an experienced Food Technologist with strong dairy industry exposure to support formulation development, processing strategy, and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize RTD dairy-based beverage formulations
- Address flavor optimization, odor control, product stability, and shelf-life challenges
- Advise on processing methods (pasteurization, UHT, cold-chain considerations)
- Support scale-up from pilot trials to commercial production
- Ensure compliance with Sri Lanka food regulations (SLS, Ministry of Health)
- Guide ingredient selection, functionality, and cost optimization
- Assist with technical documentation for manufacturing and private labeling
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Dairy Science or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in the dairy or beverage industry
- Hands-on experience with RTD drinks and milk-based beverages
- Strong understanding of shelf-life extension and sensory improvement
- Prior experience working with manufacturing plants is an advantage
- Consultancy or project-based experience preferred
