Hatchery Supervisor - Fiji

Key Responsibilities
- Plan hatchery cycles and oversee daily operations.
- Verify and receive fertile eggs for incubation.
- Conduct quality inspections of eggs prior to incubation.
- Monitor hatchery control points, including temperature and humidity.
- Supervise the development of fertile eggs and the hatch-out process for day-olds.
- Improve hatchability percentages through effective management.
- Vaccinate day-old chicks and ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
- Supervise staff and ensure proper counting and dispatch of day-olds.
- Maintain strict hygiene and biosecurity standards.
- Facilitate internal and external quality audits.
- Contribute innovative ideas for system enhancements.
Key Competency Requirements
- Relevant qualification in hatchery operations.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role with layer and broiler day-old chicks.
- Ability to work independently and achieve excellent results.
- Willingness to perform shift work and extra hours as needed.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is desirable.
