Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual servers.
- Monitoring security alerts and responding to incidents in collaboration with SOC and technical teams.
- Configuring networking and security-related devices.
- Implementing security controls and patching vulnerabilities.
- Staying up to date on the latest industry trends, technologies, and threats to propose appropriate solutions to enhance the security of the IT landscape.
- Collaborating with academic and non-academic staff to support IT initiatives and projects.
- Providing 24/7 on-call support for critical incidents and escalations.
- Delivering awareness training for staff and students.
- Preparing reports on security status, incidents, and compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university/institution.
- At least 2 years of work experience after obtaining the educational qualifications.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AZ-800/801, and RHCSA will be an added advantage.
- Security certifications such as CISSP and CISA will be an added advantage.
- A strong understanding and knowledge of computer networks, security systems, and assessment tools is required.
