The Role

We invite a mechanical engineering professional experienced in managing factory renovation projects to join Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC as the Project Manager. The Project Manager will oversee factory renovation projects from planning to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and teams while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, set goals, and manage the entire project lifecycle.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, delegate tasks, and manage resources, including personnel, material, and equipment.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, monitor project progress, and ensure all project deliverables meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, offering input on engineering design and ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance, identify potential issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
  • Create and manage project budgets, track expenses, and monitor timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient management of the project.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is essential.
  • Professional certifications in project management are desired.
  • Qualifications in advanced project management tools are an added advantage.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience in handling factory renovation projects is beneficial.
