Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures and HACCP plans on the production floor.
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Supervise and train production staff on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene standards, and quality protocols.
- Perform routine swab tests and environmental monitoring.
- Maintain accurate quality assurance records and documentation for audits.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities.
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams for continuous product quality improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international food safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field from the University of Wayamba or the University of Peradeniya.
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience in a quality control or assurance role within the food manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety management systems.
