Responsibilities
- Diagnosing mechanical problems with sewing machines and carrying out repairs or replacements.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborating with sample room staff to address machine-related issues affecting production.
- Providing training to sample room staff on proper machine use and basic troubleshooting.
- Adjusting machine settings like stitch length, width, and tension.
- Replacing belts, motors, and other worn or damaged parts.
- Testing machines after repairs to ensure they function properly.
- Performing basic diagnostic tests to identify potential problems.
- Installing new machinery and ensuring proper setup.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the apparel industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand power tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
